Christina Kandrettis – Principal

It has always been Christina’s dream to open up her own dance school and after many long months of planning, Impact Dance Studios is the end result. Christina began dancing at the age of 4 and hasn’t stopped since. In her childhood she completed exams in ISTD Modern and Tap, RAD Ballet, LAMDA Verse and Prose and LAMDA Acting, working her way up through the grades.

At the age of 16, Christina was awarded a place at the Arts Educational Schools in London where she took A Levels in Art, Dance, Performing Arts and Drama. It was here that she was given the opportunity to perform in various influential theatres in London.

After completing her A Levels, Christina went on to gain a BSc Psychology degree at University. It was while studying that Christina went back to her roots and began pursuing ways to get into dance teaching. She gained her ISTD qualifications in Tap and Modern in 2012 and began teaching full time at local schools and dance schools in Surrey and West London in April 2013. She then went on to gain her Acrobatic Arts qualifications in 2016.

Christina is delighted to have Impact Dance Studios up and running and absolutely loves watching the school grow, working with some incredible members of staff and fantastic students!

Jessica Westbrook – Early Years

Jessica has always had a love for ballet as long as she can remember. She trained at a ballet school in South Africa and went on to dance professionally. Following an injury she left the ballet company but still wanted to be part of it all. Jessica decided to train as a teacher so she would have the ability to pass on her love and knowledge of this wonderful art form to others, and Fairy Footsteps was born!

Jessica and Christina met in 2014 and have since begun a collaboration of their two dance schools. With Christina working with Jess at Fairy Footsteps, the children have the opportunity to complete their basic ballet training at a young age with Jessica, before moving up to Impact Dance Studios to explore different genres of dance with Christina. If you have a preschool child interested in doing ballet classes during the day, check out Fairy Footsteps website www.fairyfootsteps.co.uk
